Road widening

Hi Attorney,

Nilalaparan po ung kalye sa harap ng bahay namin. Ang lupa po talaga namin hanggang sa edge ng current na national road. Pero and bakod po namin halos 5 meters from the road po.

Sa road widening po binigyan kami ng sulat from the District Engineer's office na upto 15 meters daw po ang pwedeng kunin ng gobyerno and hindi daw po kami babayaran. Hindi naman daw po nila kukunin ung buong 15 meters. at hanggang sa bakod lang po namin. Bale po about 5 meters wide and 40 meters long ang lupang makukuha para sa road widening.

Ano po bang habol namin sa lupang makukuha nila at sa masisirang bakod? Ayaw pong harapang makipag-usap ng contractor at puro mga snippets from different laws about road widening lang ang pinapadala sa amin.

if the property to be taken is private property then you have the right to be paid, and if you don't agree to their price, they have to go to court to force you to give it up.

don't give your consent for them to enter your property without a court order. you can legally block the portion contained in your title.
