Ito ang situation:
I rented(no contract) a house and made an improvement. I made a front iron grills for additional protection na may oral agreement that i can remove and take it with me in case I move out.  The house was sold after 5 years.

I had no problem with the second owner when I told about the iron grills.  The owner agreed with the same.  No problem since I didn't move out.

Just a month ago today, I've learned that the house was already sold.  New owner came to collect rent, etc. and i forgot to mention about the iron grills.  Today, they came to visit to tell me that I'd have to move out... so I mentioned the iron grills.

They said I cannot take them with me because they bought it along with the house...

Can they sue me if I insist on taking it?  Thanks  ~Yoodge.

I believe that since you failed to communicate with the new owner, you have no privity of contract with him. Try reading this to understand more the nature of contracts, which may be written or verbal. https://www.alburovillanueva.com/contracts.

Just go after the previous owner for breach of contract, and claim for damages. He is very much aware of your agreement, but opted to sell the house including the grills to a new owner who is totally unaware of your arrangements.

Thanks for the reply... one more question. Can I have the old owners sign a proof of my ownership to it?...can it be ante-dated?...will it be legal and binding? Thanks.
