good day po,
Legal po ba ang Compressed Week na tinatawag?
Nagpapasok po ng 8hours+4hours sa isang araw. pero yung 4hours ay hindi babayaran na OT pay kung hindi lalagpas ng 48hours sa isang linggo. nag-extend ng 4 hours sa isang araw na hindi daragdagan ng 25%?

Is this allowed?

The answer is yes, according to Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz, who yesterday said the arrangement is in order under DOLE Advisory No. 4, Series of 2010, or the "Guidelines on the Implementation of Flexible Work Arrangements and the Exemption from the Nightwork Prohibition for Women Employees in the Business Process Outsourcing Industry."

narinig ko na yang compress sched, pero parang lately lang yan at government offices ang ginawang pilot,, not sure kung implemented sa private sector.
para daw iwas traffic at tipid pamasahe..

Matagal na ang usaping Compressed Work Week - as early as 2004 (or even earlier), and discussed further in 2009.

At sakop nito ang lahat ng gustong magpatupad, hindi lang gobyerno.

Pero meron din exemptions (construction, health services, etc).

And yes, na-implement na din sa iba't-ibang kumpanya sa private sector, tulad ng mga BPO at iba pang hindi naman kailangan ng 5 days na trabaho.
