I recently joined a company last month. I find out that the company is not providing SL/VL to the regular employees, we have around 200 personnel. The company has been operating for more than 20 years.

The company is a chinese company and the only wany i can convince them to give this benefits is to let them know what are the consequences is they will not provide the benefits.

Can someone share their expert advise what my company will face in case the authority will find out this practice?

The authority cannot find out that, UNLESS, a single employee will raise that question.

The consequences are as follows:

1. Payment of monetary damages for failure to provide SIL/VL, how much? depending on the years served by the claimant/employee.

2. Blatant or willful non compliance of that provision of the law in providing SIL/VL is a valid ground for cessation of business.

required ang 5 days service incentive leave if you have rendered at least 1 year of service... you should call DOLE for help.

SL and VL are benefits from the employer and not mandatory. While 5 days SIL is required by DOLE.
