Nag-rerent lang po kami..at may one-year contract po kami ng may-ari.ang sabi po sa contract pag po umalis kami less than a year sa paupahan nya, non-refundable na po ung 2 months deposit namin..ang tanong ko lang po is,yung non-refundable po ba na sinasabi sa contract is ung physically na di na maibabalik sakin ung pera as in cash pero pwede syang gamitin sa pagbabayad ng last bill sa electricity and water?Sabi po kasi ng may-ari ng paupahan,un daw pong deposit na yun e gagamitin nya kung sakaling di nabayaran ng nangupahan ung last bill ng kuryente at tubig bago umalis. Iniisip ko po kasi na pagalis namin di ko na babayaran ung bill ng kuryente namin at tubig since may deposit naman and to think na di naman aabot yung bill na yun sa kalahati nung deposit namin.Ano po ba sa tingin nyo?

moderator

deposit serves two purposes, it is supposed to be a penalty if you don't finish the contract and security if you don't pay for utilities and damages.

if you proceed with your plan, you do so at your own risk. the owner has the right to forfeit the deposit and demand payment for utilities.
