Greetings,

I am planning to open an online business but I don't know the legalities of it been surfing for the answers but I can't seem to grasp it so here's my question. Do I need to patent it in our own country (Intellectual property law) or apply for international patent? And do I need to register it and have a business permit or do what most online business do...have no permits or whatsoever Shocked

p.s. the online business I'm planning to open will not be selling any products but will only get commission selling other people products

anyway thank you in advance for taking your time reading this Very Happy

unless you have new software, there is no patent needed. if you want to go fully by the book, then you should register a business name with dti and bir for tax purposes, plus barangay and mayor's permits.

engaging in business now legally requires you to register it. the issue is whether you will get caught if you don't.
