hi atty,

yes, there are already bounced checks. I don't have an account with their bank though, but we were able to pull through with PDC's.

what is a trust receipt agreement?

Thanks!

what do you mean by you were able to pull through with pdcs?

you can be charged with violation of bp22 if there are bounced checks. during the pendency of the case, the complainant can request for issuance of watchlist order. it is a renewable every 60 days and has the effect of an hdo.

a trust receipt is a loan where the proceeds will be used to purchase goods which are to be sold, and there is an obligation to use the proceeds of the sale to pay for the loan.

sorry, wrong choice of words... what I meant was, even if I don't open an account with them, I was able to give them check under their own bank...

there is no trust agreement

how would i know if there was indeed WLO issued against me? Is there a way for me to check on this one?

Thanks.

you can verify with the bureau of immigration. if one is issued, you should receive a notice.

oh, ok...

net, there should be a formal communication coming from the immigration and not merely from the collection agency... not that I received any notice from the agency of such issuance of WLO but they just informed me that I need to settle or atleast make contact with them relative to my plans or they will be forced to file a case against me in court...

thanks much for bringing some light on this matter.

I will be flying out of the country by end of next week
