Arresto Menor

The accused was charged for avocado valued P2,500.00.. he was moved to defer his arraignment so he can file a motion to quash his criminal case filed in him, same case was already resolved before the office of the barangay captain.

In his opposition to the motion filed by the accused, the prosecutor contended that there is no Barangay settlement to speak of because the accused did not abide his promise to pay the value of the stolen avocado as agreed therein..

can you help me,. what legal provisions, jurisprudence, or legal opinions applicable in this case...

please help me... please!
