solo parent leave

im current working in a BPO company for 8 months.
i tried to filed my solo parent leave last november,
but the HR representative told me I need to render
1 year service first with this company before they
allow me. I was not informed by the HR during the time I was
applying for it and they already loaded the 7 days
additional leave under my profile. Is it true?

Another concern is, as solo parent we are entitled
for 15% from all purchases of baby's milk, food and food supplements;
medicines and other medical supplements/supplies
for the child, i just need to present my SOLO PARENT
ID. I tried to use my solo parent id in LIANAS and
MERCURY DRUG STORE (both Bustillos Branch, i was
really dissapointed because they did not accept it
for a reason they didn't reaceive any notice from
the government regarding this matter.

If this is the case, what is the essence of
Republic Act No. 8972 (Solo Parents' Welfare Act of 2000)

Section 8. Parental Leave. - In addition to leave privileges under existing laws, parental leave of not more than seven (7) working days every year shall be granted to any solo parent employee who has rendered service of at least one (1) year.

so far i don't recall seeing any any provision regarding discounts.

for discounts... HB 6184 enumerates discounts that solo parents may avail in purchasing products essential to child rearing.

solo parents will be granted identification cards to be entitled to ten percent discounts on children’s clothing materials for children below two years old; 15 percent discount on baby’s milk, food and food supplement; and 15 percent discount on medicines and other medical supplement and supplies for children who are five years old and below

If this is still listed as HB (House Bill) and not yet RA (Republic Act) then this has no effect yet.

pwede ko i-report..for an establishment or corporation, who refuse to give me a discounts since it is already stated in HB 6184, tama po ba?

Hindi pa ito batas kung HB (House Bill) or SB (Senate Bill) pa lang ito.

So dahil hindi pa ito batas (or RA - Republic Act) then wala din mapupuntahan ang reklamo mo.

son from his father? ex-partner abondoned his obligation
as the father of my son for almost 5 years already. my
son is h=using his surname, and together with the certificate he signed a affidavit before that he is recognising my son.. My ex-partner is married now with 1 kid, I tried to asked for a financial support but he said
"baka malaman ng wife ko, pagawayan lang namin."

What are the rights of my son? What are the best and easiest ways to demand for financial support?

you can send a demand letter for support then file a complaint for economic violence

how? saan po ako pwede lumapit to file a demand?

i dont know their exact address right now.. alam ko lng punatahan yung bahay nila and yung store nila, that is why i really dont know how and where to start
