Im american citizen and my Ex-wife also american citizen, we got married in the philippines.and we filed divorce and is already completed.
My question is, what is the process of annulment in the philippines, if we both already filed divorce here in the united states..

How long it takes to process the annulment and what are the requirement..also how much it cost to complete the processing
annualment..

Where I need to start to process my annualment.

if you want to be really safe, the best solution is to file a petition for recognition of your divorce.

however, if you can get a certificate of elligibility to marry from your resident state, and there is no one likely to file a bigamy case against you, then the risk might be minimal

you will need a copy of your divorce decree authenticated at the philippine consulate, then you need to need to talk to a lawyer about filing a petition for recognition of foreign judgment. process will take about 6 months to a year
