Dear Attorney,
I am an IT consultant based (with local employment contract) in the Philippines and deployed in our project in Tehran, Iran. I am the project manager here and we are obliged by our client that we should work 6 days a week - standard work day is 5 days a week so my staff are getting extra 8 hours of overtime/premium pay. As the project manager, my company classify me as "manager" that they say I am not entitled to overtime pay. However, reading at Section 2 of Book III of the labor code under Exemptions, I don't think my current role satisfies what is stated under Section 2 (b) and (c). If this is actually true, should I be entitled to overtime pay? Thank you.

if not a manager, can you be considered a supervisor? under philippine law, you won't be entitled to OT.
