We have been occupying a land located in Laguna for more than 50 years now. We do not own the land, but many individuals are claiming ownership for it. In fact, we were involved in a case that lasted for more than 10 years but was later dismissed for lack of proof.
At present, we are attending a barangay hearing because on january 17, 2011 a decision/resolution rendered by the supreme court affirmed a decree of registration in the name of those who are claiming ownership of the land. Is this already a proof that they own the land? What are we supposed to do. We do not want to leave the land because it is home for us for the past more than 50 years.
