Bought Expired Good

Went to this department store and didnt notice that one of the good i bought was expired. What will be the best thing to do should i file complain? my dad almost ate it and when i taste it, it has different taste which made me check on the expiration date then i found out it was expired last june of this year. need your advice thanks.

bring it to the store first together with the receipt to see if they will honor a replacement or refund. if not, go to the DTI.
