Hi, I'm self employed (artist) and don't receive any form of health insurance coverage from an employer. I do have sss and philheath. However since being self employed this past 2 years I have not been regular in my payments. Could I still receive maternity coverage with my previous contributions or could I pay retroactively from the year I left my previous job? I've tried searching for individual health insurance with maternity coverage but have been unsuccessful so far. By a long shot (I know that you may be unable to help me with this) could you recommend me any companies? I could then follow up with them. Thank you.

what sss requires are payments for the last 6 months. it would be best to inquire with the sss on how it will apply to a self-employed person.
