Good Morning..question po, pwede po bang hatiin ng employer ang maternity..for instance half before birth, and yung half is after birth upon submitting child's birth cert.?.since kailangan ng birth certificate ng baby for the reimbursement from SSS..

As per Social Security Law (RA 8282), Maternity benefit shall be given in advance and in FULL amount to qualified employees.

This have been reiterated thru the circular they released this year (SSS Circular 2017-006) reminding all employers about this. Failure or refusal of the employer to do this, will subject them to corresponding penalty such as fine or imprisonment.
