Hi. Goodmorning. Magtatanong lang po sana ko tungkol sa maternity benefits ko. Nahire ako sa company July 19, 2012 at nagstart magkaron ng contribution sa SSS ng August 2012. Oct 2012 ko na nalaman na pregnant ako at sinabi ko agad sa employer ko yun. Ininform ko din sila na kung pwede nila hulugan ng 1 month ang contribution ko sa SSS dahil kulang ng isang contribution. Sabi ko ako na lahat magbabayad ng penalty. Then ang sabi nila, ok na daw. wala na kong dapat intindihan sa maternity benefits ko dahil approved na daw. After kong mag maternity leave, kinausap ako ng HR at pinapabayaran sakin yung perang nilabas nila dahil rejected daw yung ML1 ko. Ano po ba dapat kong gawin. Wala akong documents na cnb mismo ni HR na ok na lahat ng tungkol sa maternity benefits ko dahil hindi sila nagrereply sa mga email ko kapag nagfofollow up ako at puro verbal lang ang updates sakin.. TIA..

You can try negotiating with SSS directly. Most of the cases I have encountered like this, SSS just ask the employee to pay the 1 month lacking.

alexis, that's not a proper way to address a problem and addressing HR Adviser. I myself don't agree with everything anyone else says in the forum, but I do not resort to such statements.
