Good day! I just have several questions regarding notarizing documents:
1. Can you notarize a deed of sale(or any document) that is photocopied?
2. Is the notarized document valid kahit walang witness?
3. Nagpasign ako ng consignment agreement, we both signed, when i was about to have
it notarized, i realized walang witness nakasign, but there was a slot there that
says, "signed in the presence of". I had a friend who was there but he didnt
actually see the signing. after a few days bago ko pa notarize, i made him sign
the witness slot. Is the document still valid kung sinabi ng other party na wala
naman witness nung nag sign kami?

Thanks in advance and more power!

1) if that includes the signatures, no
2) yes
3) yes, it is.

what i would question is whether you had it notarized before an actual notary and whether both of you were present

We signed it last week of January, I had the witnessed signed 1st week of April, 2nd week of april, it was notarized by a notary public in our municipal hall by me(without the other party). Valid pa rin ba attorney?

the law will assume it to be valid, until someone is able to prove otherwise.

even if the notarization is later proven to be not valid, the agreement is still binding.

but with the way you described it, that is not valid notarization.

yes you can. it will be up to the other party to prove that it was not validly notarized if they raise the issue.
