I suggest that your sister seek for a legal separation and demand for support for her son from the father. After they are legally separated, she should also ask the SSS to remove her husband as a beneficiary.

we are from Cebu., please give me information whose lawyer we can go to be able to process legal separation, and i hope that at least even a pro-bono lawyer or somebody you can recommend that is not so expensive as I am doing this for her and I am a breadwinner of the family, then my dad just had his leg amputated from diabetes illness.. God Bless.

your sister can inquire at the PAO, or legal aid office of the IBP or law school
