Arresto Menor

Hi,

I’m sending this on behalf of my sister in law. I’m here in the US and she is there in Bulacan. Her son had a child with his then girlfriend but separated when the child was 2 or 3 years old. Since they separated my sister in law has been supporting the child with money/ milk/food, clothes and also a refrigerator and now Money for her schooling and supplies.
Since they separated my nephew has been in a new relationship with another girl.
Also to add my nephew has also been giving what he can since he started working at his new job.

In the past week my nephew received a demand letter of support for 12,000 pesos an month stating the law RA 9262.

What can my sister in law do to help my nephew stating that the child has never been abandoned or never supported.

Thank you in advance...
