i recently won an illegal dismissal case against company A. company A filed an appeal while putting in a bond equivalent to the award. company A looks like they haven't perfected their appeal and they are anticipating the loss. now there's loose talk that the business is contemplating change in biz name to escape their liabilities to me. fyi, the amt awarded is significant and, i was informed, the highest awarded for an illegal dismissal case handled by the arbiter. that is the reason company A is studying extreme options.
question is: is the change in biz name really a solution to company A's woes?

Change in business name will not absolve them from liabilities. Anyways, the bond has already been paid so should company A lose its appeal you will receive the bond. The only way out for them now is to win the case or have the decision overturned either at the court of appeals or the supreme court
