wakabu, correction of birth date will require court petition. you can just adopt the date on the birth cert. as for wrong spelling, it depends if it is just a clerical error.

just started working. no savings yet kaya po sana kung alam ko ung range, i would know kung kelan n ako pwde mgconsult sa lawyer dito samen. baka po kc pagpasok ko pa lang may bayad agad. intimidating po kc kayong mga lawyers e. =)

We forged the signature of my ex- boyfriend when I gave birth to my now 6 year old son thinking that I would be able to get some assistance from him. But we were just always getting help from his mom because she felt sorry for the kid but she herself recommended to get away from the relationship because he has a lot of women who he also had a kid but never gave support. (What I found out he has 4, mine was the 3rd. I was able to talk to the women thru his mom also)

When I left their home (because he is not always there) I never heard from him after a day asking where I was, until now. Last I know that he is in Olongapo but we're not sure because it's only in facebook. Now that account is no longer available.

Now my son is going to school this year, and I don't want him to use his surname. My boyfriend is willing to use his surname but he had a past marriage which we think is null & void because his ex wife is his aunt thru blood relation because his mom & his ex wife are 1st cousins.

Would it be possible for you to shed some light on this very complicated situation?

Is my partner's former marriage is really void? Because we plan to get married, how will we be able to null the marriage. And what can we do about changing my son's surname? Thank you!!

lynnie, if they are typographical errors then you can go to the civil registrar and file a petition under ra 9048. but as for the date, that will require a court petition.

Hello po bago lang po ako dito sa site na ito at nung nakita ko po mukhang madami po kayo na nabibigyan ng advice at tulong kaya po umaasa din po ako na matutulungan niyo po ako, Anyway po ang problema ko po ay sa birthcertificate ko mali po kasi ang gender na nakalagay doon ang pinagtataka ko po sa birthcertificate ko pa na from midwife ay babae po ako pero nung makuha ko po ang birthcertificate ko sa nso lalaki po ang nakaregister sa birthcertificate ko. napakadaming tao na po ang nilapitan namin at kung saan saan na din po nagpunta pabalik balik sa mga munisipyo para magtanong kung paano maayos ito pero ang sinasabi po hindi daw po ito pagkakamali ng nso at dapat daw po magpaatty pa...at lahat sinasabi ay gagastos daw po talaga ng malaki eh. nawa po mabigyan niyo po ako ng advice kung anong gagawin ko.

your remedy is to file a petition in court to correct your birth certificate.

gud pm mo..ask q lng po kung pano maaayos ung B-certificate ng anak q kc NOT MARRIED ang nkalagay sa status q ng ipanganak q cya..pero gamit naman po nya apelyido ng tatay nya kc dba allow na ngyn un basta may consent ang ama.. pano po ba un mapapaayos para nman po eh nakalagay na MARRIED na ang magulng nya..tnx po..

hello po i have a problem with my nso birth certificate, nung pinanganak po kasi ako di pa kasal ang parents ko so ung una kon birth certificate ay surname ng mother ko ung gamit ko tapos nung magaaral na po ako inayos po nung mama ko kasi kinasal din sila nung 4 years old ako kaya nagkaroon na rin po ako ng Birth certificate na surname ng father ko kaya lang ng kumuha ako ng nso ung first birth certificate ko ung nagreflect sa nso ko ano po kayang pwede kong gawin dun? lahat po ng school records hanggang ngayong college ay yung BC ko na surname ng tatay ko ang gamit ko matagal po ang process nun? at kailangan pa po ba ng lawyer?

if your father's name on the birth certificate is also spelled that way, then it can be easily proven as a clerical error. process takes 3-6 months

I have a quite similar situation. My parents married 3 years after I was born. Pero sa birth certificate ko po ay gamit ko na ang surname ng father ko kasi may nakalagay na date of marriage. midwife po nagpaanak sa nanay ko at sila ang nagfill up ng form then pinapirma ang nanay ko as informant. Hindi ko po napansin before ang problema kasi tama naman po ang pangalan ko. Nalaman ko lang nung nagkaproblema ako sa marriage certificate ko kasi po eh mispelled po yong last name ko sa marriage certificate by 1 letter, and yong father ko by 1 letter din. Since maraming requirements sa pagpapaayos including marriage certificate ng parents ko, napansin ko na sa original birth certificate ko na mali ang marriage date ng parents ko at dun ko narealize na i was born out of wedlock pala. So ngayon di ko po mapaayos yong marriage cert ko kasi may problema din ang birth certificate ko. So i would like to start fixing my birth certificate muna. Sa birth certificate ko po yon nga ang problem, i am declared as legitimate although hindi pa that time, may date and place of marriage ang parents ko at pinapirma ang mother ko under her now married name. although wala po kailangan baguhin sa pangalan ko sa brirth certificate, kaso kailangan maayos ang spelling ng name ng tatay ko from Rely to Rolly at ang date of marriage nila. ano po ang legal process para maayos to?
