Hello everyone,
Kailangan ko po ang inyong advice. Yung kapatid ko po, sabi nila may tax deficiency on PhilHealth reimbursement.
Supposedly, my sister will receive reimbursement from PhilHealth.

As of 2012 (based on PHIC 2006 guidelines):

Among the income payments being subjected to expanded withholding tax (EWT) are its payments to hospitals and medical practitioners who rendered medical services to PHIC members. Under existing issuances, PHIC’s payments to medical practitioners are subjected to EWT rates of 10 percent or 15 percent whichever is appropriate, based on the medical practitioner’s declared gross income in a year. More specifically, the rate shall be 10 percent if the gross income of the professional does not exceed P720,000 in a year while the rate shall be 15 percent if the professional’s gross income exceeds P720,000 in a year.

at that time wala pa pong narereceive ung kapatid ko na pera regarding this.

what I know is cash basis po ang pag-tax. kaya wala dapat na tax penalty or any charges.

Oh it's an additional of one of the CRAZY laws where BIR make in hard for all legal living people, instead of going after the cheaters... Evil or Very Mad
I know it's something similiar concerning tennants having to handle taxes for landlords!!! I haven't heared of any other country than the Philippines forcing all the PRIVATE CUSTOMERS having to handle the tax paying for the PROFESIONALS... Shocked
