I just want to ask on what legal actions or advise I can do on this scenario:
Several months after I fully paid the hospital bill for my child confinement, I received a letter from the same hospital that I still have a balance (around 50K) that I should pay. When I went to the hospital, one of their admin representative explained to me that it is supposed to be charged under PhilHealth but they were not able to do it as it is already out of fund (maybe because the bill for my child confinement was so big).
As I see it, I think there was a computation error between the hospital and PhilHealth.
The problem is that, I cannot schedule the payment right away as I am already commited on some other loans that I need to pay. I loan some money after I received the hospital bill, so in relation, I can schedule it to be exact on my budget.
Can the hospital charged me of any legal matters if I am not able to pay it right away? What actions can I take? Can I use my next year fund for PhilHealth to cover the balance?
