back pay issue

i just have a question atty...my back pay was released feb 28, 2013 and my previous employer didn't give computation of my final pay.. i'm still wondering how they computed it because they didn't give the any documentation to justify the amount that they released.. all of the companies i've resigned from gave me a break down/ computation of my final pay...honestly,the final pay that i've got from my most recent employer was not the amount that i've expected since i was not able to get my tax refund last year (2012) my last day with them was jan 3, 2013.. well i guess my question is, does dole allow employers not to give final pay computation? what should be my next step coz i really want to see how they've computed my bacckpay..thanks! hope to hear from you soon...
