Good day atty.

my friend was granted full parental authority over his son last year. and now his wife keeps annoying his son by calls and texts.

questions:

1. How can my friend file a permanent protection order for his son? he is worried that
his son might be more mentally stressed, if his son will still go to court over
this to file the ppo.

2. is it possible for the father to file it? if not does this mean his son should be
the one to file the ppo.

3. if ever the ppo is granted , is that ppo really permanent? even if his son reaches
age 18 ? or is it just applicable till he is a minor ?

either of them can file for it. it's really permanent compared to a temporary one. it can still be overturned by the court

Thank you for your reply atty.

Since my friend is out of the country, can he make a sworn affidavit at the Philippines Embassy in UAE? and he will send it to his lawyer in the Philippines to file it.

What do you mean it can still be overturned by the court? You mean their request for PPO can still be denied?

If ever the PPO was granted, then years have past then things improved with his son and mother can they request for the PPO to be removed?
