My friend has been waiting to get annulled for the past 6 years. She thinks that her husband attended the court in where he filed the annulment, last May or June, however she has not heard anything about what happened. Her estranged husband who filed for the annulment lives in the middle east with his new family, remarried and has a child. He has lived there for the past 10 years.
My friend is aware she must not contact the court, for any update.I look forward to hearing from you so my friend can have closure on this matter.

My question is, how can my friend get any update re the annulment case? Her estranged husband lives overseas, is married and none of his family in the PH will reply to my friend. We have the case number etc but she has been told not to contact the court or her husbands lawyer.

the way to do it is for her to issue an authorization letter or get a lawyer to inquire about the case at the court.

Thanks for this. My friend is the respondent in the case and her concern is what the court might think her asking for an update, especially if the annulment has been granted yet.
Thoughts please?

even if they thought of that, there's nothing wrong with it.

Ok, thanks again. To clarify please.

My friend does not have a lawyer, so would it be ok if she wrote to the court asking for clarification / update?

Hi, my friend has just received this email from the Court in Manila - It appears that your case (Civil Case No.xx) did not reach this Court. As per information from our Information and Judicial Records Divisions, your case is not included in our docket.

Thank you.
Very truly yours,

The court that was dealing with the Annulment was in Quezon Province, would the RTC there deal with the decision or would it all be passed to the Court in Manila. I need to know, as to where to write to next.

We have written to the Sol Gens office but had no acknowledgement yet, writing to the Court in Quezon province today.
The same person would like to know can she pursue her estranged husband for abandonment? Since splitting up, 12 years ago, until last year he has NOT provided any financial assistance towards the 2 children. He is now sending money via his parents to assist with college fees, however it is insufficient. He has also got re married overseas in the middle east and has a child with his new wife. Can my friend report him for bigamy? how does she go about this please?
My friend is worried he might stop the assistance once he knows there might be a case filed against him. He is the same person who said he filed for the annulment in 2005.
Any suggestions please?

We just got a reply from the Sol Gens office, they have advised there have been so many delays by the estranged husbands lawyer. The State Solicitor is now going to get involved, not sure what she can do to assist. Do you please? Would still appreciate a reply re our earlier questions re ex not paying enough money to support kids education.
Thanks

Can she do this even though there has never been any previous agreement in place? Will she need a lawyer for to prepare this?
Also what about him getting re married can she do something about him committing Bigamy?

she should get a lawyer to prepare the motion. if he got married again, he can be charged with bigamy.
