I signed the deed of sale but someone else claimed the money on my behalf

Arresto Menor

Here is the situation:

I inherited a piece of land from my grandmother. Then a cooperative bought it. Since the land is on my name, I am the signatory for all the documents related to the sale. But when I asked my father why is it that almost a year had past and I haven't received the payment yet, he answered that he already got the check and used it to pay some debts. It turns out that he asked the cooperative to make him the payee. By the way, the general manager of the cooperative is also his cousin (therefore, my uncle). Then he said that he'll just give me a piece of land in return.

It is not clear to me what "debts" were paid. But I assume that it is either the loans from the bank for college tuition fees or from his credit card purchases.

Now my question is: Do I have the right to claim the proceeds of the sale from my father? I was already of legal age when I signed the deed. So in my perspective, I don't think my father has any right to use the money for his own use. Or is it alright as long as the debt that were paid was of my college tuition fees? Also, is it permissible when he said that he'll just give me a piece of land in return. He just said it and I neither agreed nor objected. And I assume that what he is talking about is the inheritance I'll get when he dies.

I hope I get enlightened. Thanks in advance!
