succession in legitimes.
criminal law computation of penalties
labor law computation of retirement pay and others though will not be ask in the bar. most likely will be encounter in actual practice.

in oblicon there is math. ( joint/solidary debtors/creditors)
in corpo also..
a background in accounting is very helpful..

the BAD thing: Yes, math is still haunting law students.
the GOOD thing: You need not be math expert. You just have to know the basics. You don't need to study Sin{Cos+Tan/Cos-Tan}= X 2/3 multiplied by E=MC squared. lololol!

for the bar, MIDAS and a little common sense lang pwede na. 
i flunked tax though. hahaha.
in law school, yeah i agree with the previous posts. it's required in labor, succession, obli, corpo, tax...not really in crim (some profs cguro). sa AdDU, pati social legislation (SSS benefits) may computation. parang timang. LOL

i hired u as my legal adviser and my counsel. we had a court apperance. right after the court apperance,i gave 8pesos for ur fare and nothing more.do u think Math is impotant? do the Math.

yup, background in accounting is helpful. it's more on the type of math you use in accounting.

I have to agree with the other posts. A basic background in math is helpful, but not really the scientific math. A degree in accounting is a great advantage towards studying taxation and whatnot, as evidenced by my experience with my accountant buddies in law school... Grabe yung advantage nila, as in!

this is great... when i th0ught 0f h0w crazy i was t0 pursue law when my undergrad n masters are all math, i was different fr0m the rest during the interview, s0me p0lsci grad and s0me p0licemen still in unif0rm i will enj0y this math in law
