Arresto Menor

I would like to ask, an employee, in his 50's, who recently had a stroke wants to get his lent of service pay eventhough he wasn't fired by the employer. Is he entitled to this?

According to his Doctor's Certificate, he may be fit to work after 120 days but subject for re evaluation. The 120 days has not yet passed but his wife keeps on insisting that he should be given his lent of service pay. The employer refused to do so as he is waiting for the doctor's evaluation. But then the employee and his wife filed a complaint at NLRC because of the employer's refusal to give the lent of service pay. Is the employee entitled to this?

I hope someone could help me with this. Thank you in advance!
