I am planning to use Smartbro 4G VPN access to my smart phone for fast speed and unlimited data use. But i noticed the installers are fly by night. And they are hacking websites to complete the process. I opted not to use it.

My questions are:
Is it really illegal to access via VPN access?

Am i liable with the hacking activity of the installer?
If ever what could be my penalty?
