One of my friends is employed in a company with just 2 regular employees. He doesn't know if he is entitled for a SIL since he worked in the company for 1 year.

I really can't help him out since I'm no legal expert but there is this sentence in the labor code that says that companies with less than 10 employees are exempted and it depends also in the company's financial status.. something like that.

So does it mean na basta less than 10 ang employees or walang income ang company wala talaga SIL?
