A friend of mine needs enlightenment:
I copy-pasted his email Smile

I'm a probationary employee of a small outdoor advertising company. I'm on my 4th month. I earn 12.5k/month (basic salary). I'm a bit puzzled on as to why my company didn't withhold my income tax? Am i exempt from paying income?

Minimum wage is Php 11, 856.

He may check what is stated on his contract. Because might as well he need to pay and report his income tax on his own.

Ok. Php 644 of his salary may be declared as deminimis allowance.

Php 11856, (Minimum Wage)
Php 644(De Minimis or Allowable Allowance.) Check his pay slip.

And ask for a copy of 2316 as well.
