Hi, good day! Here's my problem, as far as I know, I have been married to my husband since October 10, 2010, but when I requested for an authenticated marriage certificate through e-census, the result was negative. Does this mean that our marriage was never registered and invalid? We were married by an Imam since it was a Muslim marriage and it was my husband's dad who filed the marriage certificate in Zamboanga City, however, our wedding took place in Taguig Would that be the reason why we don't have an authenticated marriage contract or does that mean that the it was never legal at all? Please help. I would very much appreciate your response.

registration is not a requisite for validity, but non-registration raises the presumption that is doesn't exist.

trace back what happened to the marriage contract then have it late registered through the imam
