I understand that the contract and the law stated that probationary period should be 6 months. What happened was I had a miscarriage and took leave for 2 mos. That was my 4th month. I came back, and my probationary period was up. I was asked to sign a letter to extend my probation period. Am I already considered a regular employee? If not, if fail to meet their reasonable standards within the extension period, is it just cause to terminate me?

i think it is valid to extend the probationary period, and yes, you can still be terminated.
