Arresto Menor

I have been working with my current employer for almost 6 years. I am in a regular status now. Earlier this year, I have informed my employer that i have plans of leaving (going abroad) in the middle of the school year. She agreed and supported my plans of staying until such time i will officially leave the school. She asked until when i will stay and i gave her a tentative date (end of August) for i was not still certain of the date. Now, it appears I am asking her permission if she will allow me to extend my stay for another 2 months (until Oct). She said, i only have two options: leave the school this august or if i decided to extend, i have to continue and the finish the school year. It was clear during our verbal agreement (every detail were put into writing) that she will support me and will allow me to stay. But, she doesn't like the idea of me extending my stay as mentioned. Is there anything i can do about it? Will i leave? i want to stay though for another 2 months. is it possible?

The condition of your employer is reasonable. Mahirap naman kasi para sa next teacher to take over from you when the school year is almost at a close already. Maganda yung usapan ninyo na hanggang early part of the school year ka lang kaya pumayag siya. In that arrangement, at least meron kang trabaho habang di pa nag-flight at mahaba pa rin ang time nung next teacher na magte-take over to be able to personally assess the children.

It is also good to maintain a good relation with the owner of the school so that when you get tired of staying abroad and decide to come back and teach again, eh meron kang pwedeng balikan na trabaho.

God bless.
