Previous company collecting overpayment after resignation and clearance

Hi,

I would like to seek advice regarding my previuos employer who is collecting an overpayment in my bonus payout earlier this year. They discovered the error after I have resigned and received my final pay and clearance from the said company. Do I necessarily have to return the overpayment? What if my cash flow wouldn't allow at present? Do they have legal remedies?

Would appreciate your advice.

I am entitled to it but there was an overpayment of about P60k because of wrong computations. Thanks!

on the principle of unjust enrichment, you are obligated to return the money. but you have the right to confirm whether there was really an error
