my friend is still in training...in the training policy if you will be absent for 2 days,the case will be forwarded to hr for further assesment and will be counted against the performance. Her dad died,she was absent for 2 days,her reason is inevitable but was still given a memo..what can we do about this?

check the company policy first.

generally though, while the situation is understandable, the absence could have caused her to fail in training. and attendance is part of metrics in most instances.

she didnt fail the training,it was just that her absence was treated still as a violation
