Good day! Ask ko lang po, kasi nagpakasal po kami ng husband ko this year. Bale 2nd marriage po nya yung sa amin dalawa. Married po sya sa ex-wife nya 10 years ago pero naghiwalay rin sila after 2 years, iniwanan sya ng babae, she left with their 2 kids and since then she never demanded for any financial support as long as huwag na lang daw gambalain silang mag i-ina. Just last year nag email po sila sa isa't isa at nagkaron po sila ng personal amicable settlement na if ever meron na silang gusto na iba ay malaya na po silang pareho na maghanap at magmahal ng iba at kahit sino sa kanilang dalawa ay hindi na maghahabol sa isa't isa in any manner. Off the hook na po ba ang asawa ko sa bigamy case? Thank you very much.

No, your husband is not off the hook. Actually, pwedeng you are both liable to bigamy. Also, your marriage can be declared void due to a previous valid marriage and your children be declared illegitimate. Magkakaroon kayo ng problema nyan pagdating sa property nyo and social benefits. Kailangan ipa-annul yung first marriage nya..

unfortunately, you have made yourselves vulnerable to a bigamy case. on the other hand, if no one will file a case against you, then nothing will happen.

i wonder how your husband was able to get through the cenomar requirement?

Unfair!!!
