Hi, would like to ask for some advice.

A relative who is a US citizen recently died in the US. Since we cannot travel there, can we prepare a general power of attorney to authorize someone from US to act on our behalf with regard the claiming of the remains of our relative as well as her personal effects?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much.

ultimately, it will depend on the laws of the place where he resided, but I believe an SPA by the legal heirs will be honored.
