Hello. The completion of our house construction is now 6 months past the agreed date of completion that is stated in our contract. Our contractor has not met with us for 3 months now nor sent accomplishment reports since November 2017. He also misused the 30% downpayment which we entrusted to him, plus more concerns.
We would like to send him a demand letter and make him give us back our downpayment and other payments which he also misused. Please advise what steps we should take to be able to do these. Also, can you please give me an idea of how much we need to allocate for this undertaking. Your response will be very much appreciated.
