support as a legal wife

hello po..

i am married but have been separated from my husband since 2003....we have two kids aged, 27 and 20 years old now.....for the last 5 years, we have been receiving the amount of 1500.00/month from his income.He is presently working in a government and yours truly is also working in the same government institution....presently, he advised me that he will not anymore give support to us since our youngest daughter graduated college and now 20 years old.....

My question is...are we not allowed to ask for support from him even my children finished their study? am his legal wife and nearly retiring from work.......

technically he is correct. Only minors or children still going to school are eligible for support. Also, since you are still married, you are also eligible to ask for support from him, however, he can argue the same from you since both the husband and wife should support the family.

hi po, following to this situation, same din po ang nangyari sa akin. nung umangat ang position ng asawa ko tumaas sahod saka nya kami inabandona ng anak ko. At sya pa ang may mistress, i tried na makipagusap sa kanya sa situation namin pero ang nasagot lng nya ay "hindi nya kailangan ng tulong" all through sa 7 years ako ang unimtindi magpunana ng pakukulang nya sa amin financially. nagawa ko naman ang tungkulin ko bilang ina at asawa dahil sa panahon wala sya ako naman ay nandoon, para maging ok trabaho nya, para sa paglipat nya mula uae pa qatar.
