Once an "overtime" is approved it is understood that it has been acknowledge that you worked more than the normal working hours.

Is it a valid reason that the company doesn't have bio-metrics and timeouts are not tracked for them not to pay you overtime premiums?

If there is an overtime approved (an OT form with the approved number of hours and signed by the authorized superior) and you can prove the hours that you stayed after the first 8 hours, then you should be paid overtime work (at ot premium rate)
