Arresto Menor

We are heading towards taft avenue-buendia and we were supposed to make u turn in one street of taft avenue and we already positioned our car to make u turn but the other side of the street is traffic so we have to wait for out turn-that the street is already free for us to make u-turn but suddenly we heard a bump on the drivers side and we saw a motorcycle and the driver fell down. We hurriedly went down and to our surprise the driver was a female so we hurriedly carried away to bring her to the nearest hospital. The drvier was my husband. Our mistake we did not get take any pictures of the accident although there were witnesses on our side.We tried to make amicable settlement that we will pay the emergency biils and transfer the driver of the motorcycle in Orthppedic because she sustained fracture but they refused and they informed us that we will pay all the expenses .Of course we refused and we said that it will be according to the insurance. They have threatened my husband and namedrop a lot of politicians. My husband is a foreigner but have TRV since 12 years already staying in the Philippines. They informed us that they will send a demand letter. By the way,the drivers side mirror of our van was broken and the side door have scratch. Until now there is no police report since 5 days now because they don't like to give their affidavit. What should be done from our side and my husbands license was taken by the police.

you can consider filing your complaint of damage to property. that way you have leverage in negotiating.

you should try to get the statements of the witnesses as quickly as possible and stay in touch with them.
