Yes, because the premise is, you will be bringing along with you intimate knowledge about your companies operations.
if they sue you, you can try to justify why you feel the restriction is unreasonable and the judge will determine which side is right. Be warned though most employers will drop or not regularize someone who has this type of case pending against them
