Here's the case a company issued a recent policy for filling overtime and will be effective immediately. It is stated in the new memorandum issued by the company that employees are given 24 hours only to file their overtime form from the time they have rendered their service and beyond the allotted time overtime rendered will be considered void or forfeited. Is it right to relinquish the said service depicted?

It's a way of encouraging the employees to file their OTs immediately and without delay, and not "collect" them for one big pay out at some time in the future.

Why shouldn't an employee file his OT within 24 hrs after completion of the work in the first place?

Walang kaso yun, valid naman yung company policy.. and 24 hours is enough time for you to file your OT.
