Arresto Menor

Good day. I loaned a car through a bank and unfortunately I had an accident and the car got damaged pretty bad and I wasn't able to pay the insurance on the 2nd year. My insurance claim got denied and I am planning to return the unit to the bank. They said that I can't return the unit if it is not in a good condition anymore and I have no claim to an insurance. Is there anything that I can do rather than just paying the remaining balance and not have a claim for insurance?
