I would like to seek legal advice if it's possible to change my last name to my mother's surname. The last name that I am using was not from my biological father. And they are claiming that my father did not have a chance to disagree when my mother registered me using his last name. My father already passed away. And I don't have the real identity of my biological father. I am experiencing rejection and emotional torture from my relatives because I am using their last name without my father's consent. Can I file a petition? do I need to sent this to court? and if yes how much do you think it will cost me? and what is the process? thank you so much this means a lot to me.
