Good day!
I just want to ask for clarification and answers regarding the rules of One of the Shopping Mall here in our province particularly the GGM. My child is a PWD, he has a Global Developmental Delay (GDD) he can't still walk and talk at the age of 5 and he weighted 22 kilogram.
When we went to this mall last Saturday July 30, 2016 on or about 3:00 in the afternoon,we were told by the Security Guard Mr. C of a certain Security Guard Agency that the stroller is not allowed to be brought to the second floor because of their new policy. We were advised to go to their consumer welfare desk and We requested for an exemption because of the condition of our child, but we were told that we have to wait because the person in-charge in the customer care has to call someone from their management, for clearances/ instructions.
We know that it would really take a moment to wait for their actions, so we just go to another place. My questions are:
1. Is there no exemption to this rule if the person is obviously a PWD and needs a stroller for her/him to shop in any floor? They don't even have a facility (ex. elevator for PWD/ Senior Citizens)
2. Are shopping malls have all the rights to implement all the rules & regulations even if it's violate the rights of other person with special needs. (kind of discrimination).
3. They don't even accept the cards for PWD on their store.
I am sincerely hoping for your response on this matter.
Thank you.
