Arresto Menor

I am Pinay, gave birth in 2013 (MNL), dad is Fil-Am (born in California to Filipino parents and has dual citizenship). My son got his CRBA and American passport in 2014. Should we decide to travel out of the country, will he be recognized as foreigner/alien? do we have to get additional papers for him or will a PHL passport suffice? Please advise. Thanks!
