Hi,

I know that voluntary resignation is not entitled to a separation pay. But in my case I would like to ask anyway. I am working at a Government Owned and Controlled Corporation (GOCC), last September 2015 the President of the Philippines issued an abolition order for reason of redundancy and that the winding down and liquidation process is the a one year period. However, last May 2016, I resigned from the company stating uncertain future (not really uncertain because surely we will lose our job) due to abolition order. Am I entitled to a separation pay since no salary package was designed for resigned employees? Thank you.
